•• C U R R E N T • F E E L S • Well, today was a disaster I think I'd bigged it up too much in my head; our last proper day out as a family of three. Our plan was to go to the Big Cheese Festival in Caerphilly and spend a nice few hours as a family. • I should have guessed that the 5:45 wake up call wasn't the best start to the day. By 11 Albie was in a foul mood and we should have just called it a day and not bothered going but we'd promised him a castle so thought we'd give it a go plus he fell asleep on the way there so we were hoping he'd wake up in a much better mood. • This did not happen. • He was in a foul mood, it was so busy there and he was refusing to hold our hand and ran off twice. He was screaming to be carried (hasn't done that in months) and when I was forcing him to hold my hand (not squeezing tight) he was pulling so hard to try and free his hand he was hurting himself and screaming at full volume "Stop it, Mummy! You're hurting me!!!!" • It was sooooooo bloody hot there and so busy that you either couldn't get into the stalls or the queues for the food stands were so long that waiting in them wasn't an option. By this time Albie has gone from screaming about being hurt to being "so so so hungry!" so we just sat down on the floor so he could have his picnic box. It was at this point that I started getting bloody ligament pains on my side (felt like I was being stabbed ) so we just went home. • So a long nap was had by everyone and he woke up in a marginally better mood.
