MEAL PREP - you’re not getting ready to compete, you’re just living life and trying to make the healthiest choices possible. so you don’t need to meal prep right? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ wrong! - - i highly suggest / believe in the power of meal prepping! i know it comes off as meticulous, annoying, boring etc but the PROS outweighs the CONS. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ just because you’re not getting stage ready doesn’t mean you can’t / shouldn’t meal prep! i think its beneficial for everyone regardless of where you’re at in your fitness journey or what your goals are! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ meal prepping will >> SAVE YOU TONS OF TIME! << when you wake up in the morning, getting ready to leave for school or work, all ya have to do is take the food that’s already cooked, portion it out real quick and BOOM - done! leaving you more time to glam up ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ meal prepping can >> SAVE YOU CALORIES! << think about it... when you’re gettin’ hungry and start to cook food - you snack as your main meal is cooking. cmon, we all do it BUT if you have your meal ready to go you don’t have to worry about that! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ most importantly, meal prepping helps with >>DECISION FATIGUE<< ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ one of the biggest struggles we face when it comes to our diet is that we get TIRED through out the day and or just don’t want to thinkkkk about having to make a “healthy choice.” so if you have the food prepped and ready to go - decisions are easy!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ you don’t have to overwhelm yourself with meal prep for a week either! start with the essentials - cooking protein and some carb sources in bulk - that can last you ~3 days! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i usually just start with chicken in the crock pot or on the grill and rice in my instant pot! i don’t usually meal prep my veggies because i’d rather take the few extra minutes to cook ‘em fresh but by all means you can! throw some of your faves in the oven and roast those babies!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ personally, i love meal prepping! i find it therapeutic ‍♀️ anyone else?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ANY MEAL PREP Q’s? lemme know ⬇️

did you know that for 4 straight years of my life i battled anorexia? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ did you know one week after my 16th bday i landed myself in a hospital bed for 10 days because i starved myself near death? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ did you know that i was once so fuckin depressed and hated every inch of myself? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ did you know i spent nights crying in my bed because i always thought i was fat? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ did you know i would get to school earlier just so i could run up 4 flights of stairs over and over again? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ did you know that i’d fight myself and those around me when i was in a situation involving food of any kind? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ did you know that i recovered, relapsed HARD, and had to start at square one again? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ did you know that i thought THIS was the life and cards i was dealt and would be like that for the rest of my life? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ LISTEN TO ME — i fuckin get it. you’re in this point of your life where you’re not happy, not confident, not proud, not feeling like you’re good enough for any body and probably think that you’re never going to get through it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ dark times are hard because we can’t see the light anymore ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ what saved me wasn’t fitness nor nutrition. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ it was finally, after yearssss, that i had enough of the bullshit i was putting myself and those who love me through ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ it was CHOOSING to make a change, fight the demons in my mind head on and not quit even when quitting was the easier option ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ it was me starting to LET GO of the thoughts i use to have and allow to control me every single day ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ it was realizing that this is MY LIFE and i’m the only one who can make it better and something i look forward to each day ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ && you can do it too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ the thoughts you have that you know are limiting you, they’re just trying to keep you in the current world you know, a comfy little bubble ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ i’m here to say - BITCHHHH BURST THAT BUBBLE!!! because you DONT HAVE TO listen to them. just because they’re there, doesn’t mean you have to acknowledge, live by or give power to them ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ take back your power. believe in your power. & start living the life you know you deserve ✨

happy friday my loves! sam started his new job TODAY & i am so happy for him and proud of him for just diving into this new adventure! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ me on the other hand... i’m #PuMpEd to kinda have the day to myself ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 5️⃣ I LEARNED FROM THIS MOVE? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. i like to be in control. from group projects in high school to my meals and workouts, i’d rather just do it all by myself so i know it’s the way i like it. tbh this is something i haveeee to work on! at home i didn’t realize it so much because i had a routine and was basically on my own to do as i please (living with sam, yes, but he was working during the day (he had off this week)) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. i am 100% an extroverted weirdo who has no problem striking up a convo, speaking her mind and being in a larger group of peepz but i FREAKIN NEEEEED at least an hour a day to just be alone! since sam has had off this week we’ve been doing everything together which is wonderful (and i’m so thankful and happy about it because honestly we’d still be living out of boxes if he wasn’t) but i like having time to myself too to just recharge & collect my thoughts so thats when i usually hide in my room for a little bit lol ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3.
