We've had the #backpro @buildprogear bag to try out for a few weeks now. I've always used an apron style nail bag, so changing to a tool belt like this, was quite different. Its a comfortable tool belt, with plenty of storage, deep pockets, and room to add more clips. The overall construction of the belt, and bags seem to be well made with heavy duty rivets, and the buckle robust. The Backpro toolbelt is endorsed by Chiropractic Australia and the Physio association, which is sure to help aching tradie backs. I do have a few suggestions to making this belt more user friendly, but most of these niggles may possibly be fixed with more clips/frogs. Overall, it is a good belt, and I will continue to use it long term. So about 2 months ago @gatorback_tool_belts sent out their carpentry toolbelt. Myself and Ryan both tried this belt. This was actually really helpful to see the difference in opinions and compare. The belt has foam pockets throughout and was quite comfortable even though the size that I received was a little small. It also has reinforced D rings for the suspenders like they new framers carry a ton of weight around lol. We both agreed the suspenders although basic, they were comfortable. The only thing we both hated was there wasn’t a chest strap. The bags themselves were wide open with lots of room and a fair amount of hand tool storage. The bottom of the bags are reinforced to for durability and keeping the shape on the bottom end. This is a good idea and bad idea in my mind for the long term strength of the bags themselves. Any small amount of movement may cause the reinforced area to cut through the bags. All in all the belt wasn’t my cup of tea but Ryan seems to be in love with them. Finally getting a chance to set up the @diamondback.toolbelts 701 vest. - As simple as this looks. You have to try one on to feel it. The whole idea of the vest was to replace the need for a belt and suspension. It does that well. You can bend over without the restriction of a belt bunching up into your gut, and you dont have the issue of suspenders moving around. - Take a look up top at the shoulder pads, which are also removable if that isnt your thing. Over a tshirt, they make a considerable different in comfort though. Behind the Bossman, there is also a lumbar pad. - Ive set this up with my oldest set of hideaway pouches, which are well broken in. Many of you asked me about harness compatibility with the @diamondback.toolbelts 701 vest. - This will depend on the harness you have. Im using a very common $40 workforce harness here, and I havent moved the tie point cross from its recommended placement on the harness straps. - You can feed the loop through the back elastics, and the harness is kept snug to your body with the vest. - Surprisingly enough, it actually makes a cheap harness more comfortable, as the weight of the shock cord isnt dragging the harness all over your shoulders. - Video to come - #diamondback #vest #toolbelt
