Last night was exactly what I needed after an exhausting two weeks! • A night out with some of my favorite ladies! ➵ Hey friends! I fell off the face of the earth but actually I’m still here. Just soaking up my last month home with my baby. It’s gone waaaay to fast. I still learn something new everyday! Now she is standing and walking (assisted) we are on the go every second and seems I don’t have a spare minute for anything else! Trying to read to her and sing to her and play with her to make up for all the moments I will miss. At the moment she does sweet things like say “hello” and puts whatever she has up to her ear for a phone. Searches for her belly button and others every chance she gets. My baby is 6 months today!! I know this sounds so cheesy but I can't believe how quickly time flies. Women used to stop me in Starbucks and tell me "cherish these moment sweetie, bc they grow up so fast" LOL. I used to not think twice, but now I find myself slowing down to stop and really appreciate this special time. I think also bc it's my 2nd time around, I am way less nervous /anxious about everything, and I am able to enjoy these early moments a bit more. That being said, the past 6 months have been quite an adjustment raising these 2 little boys, and while I like to say I have figured out a balance in my life , that would be a load of sh*t. There is no real balance, it's just about trying your best to make everyone happy, including yourself, one day at a time. Someone once told me "never wish away any stage" and it really resinated with me. I always try to remind myself that whatever I am going through, is indeed just a "stage", and I am sure next week I'll either be doting or complaining about something completely different . Perspective is key, and the reality is, days are long but years are short. I know I am going to blink my eyes, and my boys are going to be leaving for University, but in the meantime, I am going to appreciate crazy chaotic stage we're in, wether it's changing shitty diapers or reading ninja turtle books on repeat. Ya feel me MAMAS?!
