Every set of race #wheels has a story & this set owned by @europrimitive has a great one. --- Motorsport attracts all kinds of people from all walks of life from those who live from week to week, living the poor life to fund their addiction to thrills to the super wealthy & royalty for whom racing is simple one of many expensive hobbies that fill their leisure time. It doesn’t matter how large or small your income is motorsport takes lots of cash. And some times the required cash for motorsport is generated by illegal means. To fans of racing the Whittington Brothers need no introduction as their story of racing in the early 80s is some what legendary from buying cars at Lemans with duffel bags full of cash, winning under questionable circumstances, running NASCAR & IndyCar teams with virtual no sponsors & adding nitrous in hidden compartments to their race cars to win races. All of which was funded by their for-hire plane company which was later found to be used to smuggle & run drugs. These @bbs.wheels, now owned by @europrimitive, come from Whittington Brothers & Randy Lanier’s race cars from the past. The set is complete with their #turbofan aero covers & have survived remarkably well considering their age & who their previous owners were. Whether they featured on one of the famous cars that were used for cheating or not we don’t know but what we do know is they have a place in racing history, be it a good place or a bad place. No matter the story or their past owners we are glad they have survived & can’t wait to see where the end up in the future.
