There is too much to do in Paris... it sounds like I’m complaining, I’m not! Each day in Paris feels like I’m captured inside a painting filled with exquisite surroundings and architectural brilliance... And don’t get me started on Parisian desserts... incredibly interesting to look at and even better to taste This is one of my favourite shots of the Eiffel Tower, even on a cloudy/rainy ☔️day this view still made me smile

Eiffel in love with this view ✨ I was lucky enough to combine my birthday trip to Paris with the 130th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower (as well as the European Night of the Museums) - swipe right to see a photo and video of the light display on the Eiffel Tower! It was seriously spectacular. ⠀ I actually ended up watching the display twice - I didn’t really know what to expect the first time but after seeing it once I know the best spot to capture photos and videos of it sometimes patience is key it was definitely worth it to see it twice though! ⠀ I decided to look up some facts about the Eiffel Tower (fun facts are great ofc) and share my fave ones with you guys so here we go: • The Eiffel Tower is the most visited paid attraction in the world with around 7 million visitors each year! • It was the tallest man-made structure for 41 years until the completion of the Chrysler Building in New York (1930). • It was the tallest structure in France until a military transmitter was built in Saissac in 1973. • To get to the top, you can take the lift or climb 1,665 steps!! • A con artist by the name of Victor Lustig ‘sold’ the tower for scrap metal... twice • Nazi soldiers tried to attach a Swastika flag to the top of the tower when they occupied France but the flag was too big and l flew away • Hitler ordered Dietrich von Choltitz (military governor) to demolish the tower when the Allies were approaching Paris in 1944. Luckily for us, he disobeyed the orders. • The Eiffel Tower is repainted every seven years and needs 60 TONNES of paint that’s a lot of paint!! ⠀ I hope you enjoyed my Eiffel Tower fun facts do you know anything interesting about it, or about Paris in general? ⠀ I’ve also never actually been up the tower - only seen it from afar and from below!
