Судьи ЕСПЧ ⠀ Думаю, нам не лишним будет познакомиться с ЕСПЧ поближе. Одно дело, когда мы ходим в свой местечковый суд, и знаем в своем городе всех или почти всех. Другое дело — Страсбург. ⠀ А ведь судьи ЕСПЧ тоже люди, и все удивительные, интересные, даже уникальные. ⠀ Предлагаю познакомиться с некоторыми из них поближе. ⠀ Армен Арутюнян — судья в ЕСПЧ от Армении. Пожалуй, это самый улыбчивый и позитивный судья, которого я когда-либо видела. Приятно понимать, что на страже соблюдения прав Человека стоят не просто профессионалы, с четкой позицией и знанием Закона, но и когда в есть понимание, что такое человеческое отношение. ⠀ На своей лекции в феврале 2019 года в Страсбурге, он показал мне, что важно с вниманием и человечностью относиться не только к своим доверителям, заявителям по жалобам, но и к коллегам, противоположной стороне, и к миру в целом. Ok so the European Court now allows employees to ban the hijab from the workplace. Fortunately this is not happening in the UK "yet" but we could be next. So coming from somebody who has been in education all her life and who is soon embarking into working life I feel very anxious about the matter and I am sure that the rest of my Muslim sisters feel the same. They say ban the hijab and other religious symbols. Why? You think that forcing women to not wear it will change something? Are you scared of a piece of cloth that much? This is not right! As women we are continuously subject to scrutinisation whether Muslim or not by everyone including our 'own people'. Let me tell you something, I choose to wear the scarf because I wanted to. I also choose how I want to wear it whether you like it or not. I am sick and tired of this society where women are either seen as oppressed or sexual objects etc. Let us breath My message to my Muslim community and anyone who shares my views is get your voice heard in any way possible. Through art, music, fashion, sport etc. Honestly I am so so proud of all of my Muslim sisters who are changing the contorted views that people have of Islam. One of our highlights at the fair this year is this portrait by Giovanna Garzoni (1600-1670), the earliest known European portrait miniature to depict a black sitter. It is, as such, an object of great historical importance and represents a moment all too rare in the European history of the early modern period: one in which an African sitter is treated by a (female) artist in almost exactly the same terms as a European. Here, however, the sitter is shown in the fashionable dress of the courts of Europe in this period. He is sober and dignified and looks calmly out at the viewer. His features are individualised and have been rendered with great sensitivity. The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that Russia used disproportionate force to end the 2004 Beslan school siege. More than 300 people, 186 of them children, died after Russian forces ousted Chechen militants who had stormed the school. Russia described the ruling as 'utterly unacceptable' and said it will appeal. Alfie Evans: Sick toddler 'breathing' as life support ends, father says By David Mercer The father of seriously ill toddler #AlfieEvans says his son has been breathing unassisted after his life support machine was switched off. Parents Tom Evans and Kate James have lost a series of legal challenges to continue treatment for the 23-month-old, who has a degenerative neurological condition. The couple from Liverpool want to move their son from Alder Hey Children's Hospital to Rome where they say doctors are willing to treat the little boy. Speaking outside Alder Hey, Mr Evans said doctors were "gobsmacked" that his son was breathing nine hours after his life support ended. "He's still breathing now," Mr Evans said. "It's come to a point when his mum's actually asleep next to him so she can go to sleep, she feels comfortable with him." Mr Evans said it became obvious he was breathing "within a few minutes" of life-support being withdrawn on Monday night, although doctors re-intervened after he asked them to help. He added: "Because he's been doing it for nine hours totally unexpected, the doctors are gobsmacked and I do believe he will need some form of life support in the next couple of hours and I think he ought to be respected and given that." Alfie has been granted Italian citizenship in a bid to secure his transfer to #Rome and last week Mr Evans met #PopeFrancis, who has voiced support for the couple. In February, a High Court judge ruled that doctors at Alder Hey could stop treating the youngster against the wishes of his parents. Mr Justice Hayden said he accepted medical evidence which showed that further treatment was futile. More from UK Court of Appeal judges upheld his decision, while Supreme Court justices and #EuropeanCourt of Human Rights judges refused to intervene. Исполнение решений ЕСПЧ ⠀ Предположим, свое дело в ЕСПЧ вы уже выиграли. Вам присудили кругленькую сумму справедливой компенсации. ⠀ А вот что с этим теперь делать и как получить деньги вы не знаете. ЕСПЧ не дает исполнительные листы, если вы не в курсе.) ⠀ на самом деле, для всех стран-участников Конвенции исполнение решений ЕСПЧ считается прямой, почетной и благостной обязанностью! И то не шутки. Чувствуете, каким душком от судебных приставов в РФ запахло......... В Европе работает принцип добросовестности, в том числе и проигравшей стороны, тем более если эта сторона — целое Государство. И, к счастью, по общей статистике РФ исполняет эту обязанность относительно своевременно.
