Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick with Rabbit by Jean Jacques Bugat: 1966. I'm not sure if the idea behind these iconic pics by Jean Jacques Bugat were done for Easter (Nothing found on Google), but at least we can pretend that they were! I do know that Andy greatly enjoyed celebrating all the major holidays especially Christmas and Easter so it would be a safe educated guess that this shoot was something derivitive and ceremonial. Happy birthday Edie Sedgwick! ♥️Arguably the most famous Warhol superstar and cult figure would have been 76 today. Together as artist and muse they took the 60s underground film scene by storm and no party in NY was considered a success unless they were there. Sadly, it was a short lived partnership as they split after a year. Then several years later she self destructed from heavy drug use and issues stemming from mental illness, flaming out before age 30 in Nov 1971. She will always be my favorite cosplay character partner and hopefully we can team up again soon to keep the memory alive! .
