The “Ballerine Coquette” look from my graduate collection shown at Graduate Fashion Week 2019 . . This was one of my favourite dresses to put together. The outer fabric is a delicious embroidered silk organza, which I backed with a pale rose coloured taffeta for the bodice, and the skirt is backed with a plain ivory silk organza. The bodice is fully boned with synthetic whalebone, which makes the garment super lightweight and flexible. Here it is styled with a silk taffeta stole and matching silk covered belt. . . . Late night in the studio! I finally got my casual unstructured jacket draped! I’ve been draping this in pieces. The hard part was fitting it on myself. I had to make some adjustments but so far it’s working out as planned. I decided to go with a straight grain ruffle instead of a peplum. I’m liking the boho chic vibe it has. I hope I have enough fabric otherwise I’ll have to go fabric hunting. Oh shoot!
