I’ve been thinking of this book so much since reading it and I can’t fully encapsulate what I need to say about it, other than telling you Three Women by Lisa Taddeo is one of the most honest and searing investigations into heterosexual female desire I’ve ever read. It examines love and lust, instigation and exploitation, fairytales and infidelity, girlhood and womanhood and motherhood and all the liminal spaces between, and it asks big questions about who we are allowed to be as women and how to reclaim a sexual identity that has, for centuries, been co-opted by others. There are countless other narratives to be told but I salute @lisadtaddeo for focusing on these three women, whose stories are so meaningful *because* of their individuality and for promoting such a necessary - and overdue - conversation.
