K11 Academy of Fitness Sciences believes in constant upgradation and efficiency.
With that in mind, the first leg of digital assessments was launched today in the Ahmedabad academy. This will soon be incorporated in all centres of K11 across India ensuring complete digitisation of assessments.
CEO @kalyanicapadia and Ms. Monali Koul put in tireless efforts for over a year to ensure the software turns out top notch.

A last minute decision to go for a 1RM gave me 250kg on the deadlift. Haven't done a 1RM in 7 months, so went slowly with 230, 240 and then 250.
Hopefully a properly planned day will give me some more kilograms on the bar.

Being durable is the ability to withstand wear, tear, pressure or damage over the course of any activity engaged in. How we approach this concept at the Onnit Academy plays a major role in our application of longevity minded performance training.⠀

Ensuring adequate recovery, is a solid baseline to build from. It’s a big part of ours. But we recognize it’s more than simply using myofascial release tools, cryotherapy, bands and some mobility drills (which is what “recovery” tends to be thought of). We take another step in asking, “How can we create harmony for the person as they strive for their primary goal?”⠀

Let’s look at a professional cyclist. Excelling in their sport to perform at a high level, they must allow a specific adaptation of tissues in their body. This usually pulls them into a tight, shortened front line, mostly at the hips and shoulders. We don’t want to change the adaptation that serves their performance. Instead, we look to create greater balance at joint structures, health of connective tissues and access to broader ranges of controlled motion, to minimize the potential for injury that overcompensation of such highly specific adaptations can, and often do, incur. ⠀

To support that process, we include complimentary movements directly in the training. An example specific to the cyclist would be the Tripod Reach. This opens the hips, thighs, chest and shoulders, lengthening the frontside of the body while strengthening the backside. Along with establishing stability in the shoulder, it also wrings out tension in the spine.⠀
