It is our sacred nature- tied to the same 28 day cycle of the moon, the ebbs and flows, the fertile and hibernation stages, the heightened sensitivities. All of these things are GIFTS, not curses and come from only the female body. Our society has always struggles with the all forms of the Sacred- most of which is Divine Feminine. What do you think that is...? It has a tendency to be uncomfortable with the Sacred- making it taboo, or nasty, or tries to quickly control it. For example- why are young women pressured to go on birth control before their bodies have had a chance to regulate themselves? They are taught to take PILLS versus given FULL education of what their bodies are doing, the signs, the fertile phases, what her blood and fluid is showing her.
