Matriachal Monday- The Women's War, or Aba Women's Riots, was a time of distress in British Nigeria over November 1929. The dissents broke out when a huge number of Igbo ladies from the Bende District, Umuahia and different places in eastern Nigeria made a trip to the town of Oloko to challenge the Warrant Chiefs, whom they blamed for limiting the job of ladies in the legislature. The Aba Women's Riots of 1929, as it was named in British frontier records, is all the more appropriately considered a deliberately executed enemy of pilgrim revolt composed by ladies to review social, political and financial complaints. The dissent enveloped ladies from six ethnic gatherings (Ibibio, Andoni, Orgoni, Bonny, Opobo, and Igbo). It was sorted out and driven by the provincial ladies of Owerri and Calabar territories. Amid the occasions, many Warrant Chiefs were compelled to leave and 16 Native Courts were assaulted.
