On her last day, I wanted to go watch the sunset at my favorite place on the island. But when we got there, it was cloudy and no sunset to be seen. I was so disappointed, but as we were getting ready to leave, I looked out into the water and saw a huge pod of dolphins swimming right next to us! We ended up staying there for an hr, watching the dolphins play right next to the rock pier. This was the picture my friend took of me right after the dolphins came by. I remember just how amazingly happy I was. Even though we didn’t see the sunset, it was still an incredible experience. I’ve been thinking about this a lot today. My family and I were planning to leave for Havana next week. But the current administration decided that Americans are no longer allowed to go to Cuba which means that we have to be rerouted to Nassau and Freeport. Even though I am incredibly disappointed that I won’t be able to experience Cuba, I think back to how disappointed I was right before the dolphins came. Things don’t always go according to plan. But some of the best things happen when plans go wrong.
