Maliya has caught up to her even though they are 17months apart...they always get asked if they are twins My big girls are now both competing next week, 9 routines between the both of them. This is a special year because it's Maliya 1st year on team and Emelyn's 1st year doing a solo. I am beyond proud of their dedication and passion for dancing 6-7 days a week 3-4hrs a day and maintaining great grades. Everything I do is to keep these smiles on their faces. Unbelievably proud of my girls & their entire @acrossthefloor team this weekend @btscomp ! All their hard work this year leading up to their 1st comp of the season with Maliya's 1st year on team & Emelyn's 1st time doing a solo. Thanks to all of their incredible teachers for all that they do, family for coming out to support the kids passion & especially having their Dad here made it all worthwhile! Seeing them on stage is a feeling like no other but even more so is seeing the bond they have with all of their teammates...made me cry too many times! It will be almost 3 years since we walked through the doors of @acrossthefloor unaware of what would be the gateway to a road full of passion, inspiration & love from what we now know as our 2nd family, our #ATFfam It's bittersweet to see the entire team compete at our last regional competition of the season @starboundcomp Seeing the growth of the entire team has been just as rewarding as watching the growth of my own children. Their accomplishments this weekend proves that hard work and determination truly pays off. Dancing is now part of their heart and souls and its all thanks to the incredible instructors at their dance school for constantly pushing them to their full potential, their dance friends for the lifelong friendships they have made & our dance family for being the support we have needed this past year especially.
