And just like that our June Australian Adventure is over rover What an incredible 3.5 weeks it’s been... road tripping along the Aussie East Coast in a motorhome with @world_nate - it really was a dream come true for me ☀️ I must say, Australia is great for a bit of everything... beautiful coastal views, bushland adventure, wildlife, food, shopping, cities, towns, remote destinations and everything in between.. ☀️ Thanks to you all for your fabulous recommendations of things to do and see along the way! We didn’t quite get to them all but appreciate your input regardless ☀️ Thanks to @apollomotorhomeholidays for the perfect motorhome to adventure in! And thanks to @headlandsaustinmerbeach for our epic coastal hotel room to see out our last couple days here in ‘Straya ☀️ Leaving with a full heart and a hell of a lot more memories ☀️ This is just a bunch of random pics from the trip in no particular order. The road leading up to Bluff Knoll, @australia’s highest peak in the south west. . When we arrived here, it was a public holiday. So the family owned servo we were relying on was closed of course. Bugger. . After driving halfway up the mountain shown, we felt we only had enough to get up once. We were running on fumes. So we angel geared back down (rolled down in neutral with the clutch in ) and parked up for the night. . One of the best places we saw in South Australia! Such an unreal contrast of colours. . Shortly after we started the Nullarbor Links (the worlds longest golf course) we arrived in the windmill town of Penong. From there we drove south towards Cactus Beach, a pretty popular surf spot. For a good 10 minutes you will see nothing but windmills and pot holes, but eventually you reach a crossing. The road splits through a what’s known as Lake MacDonnell - the site of an old salt mine and the largest gypsum deposit in the Southern Hemisphere.
