In my last post I've talked about stress in training. For me stress is only OK when the horse has the right to say "no", does make use of this right (which ský did perfectly today ) AND for me stress is only acceptable in movement training ‍♂️‍♂️ . When ský should learn something like medical training, trailer loading, etc I aim for a much calmer, stressless setup. Movement training and learning a new behaviour are not the same for me. . In our intrinzen inspired sessions I am his trainer/coach/sparring partner, I want to challenge him and make him feel awesome - this comes with some stress, naturally. How to bring crunches into movement? #inspiredbysteinar . Usually I asked for a crunch, said Yes! and asked for pantherwalk or trot. Steinar gave us the hint to ask for a crunch after the click. . I'm surprised how easily Omero responded to my request. Now I just have to work on myself to not forget about my own posture and timing . Today I already was able to improve it a bit . . Little disclaimer: Only do this with a horse knowing crunches already pretty good and beeing 100% sure about his autonomy. And as always, take it slow!
