For for Brittany & Matt & their new life together! It was an honor to see you two married & so fun to reconnect with our OG community group from church! Of course I didn’t get a photo with the happy couple but you can tell there was much joy present by the few pics I did catch! #IdahoWedding #TheBuckStopsHere
The 10 Commandments of Sticky Sock Ownership:
1. Thou shall not put thou sticky socks in the dryer
2. Thou shall wash thou sticky socks inside out
3. Thou shall wash thou sticky socks in cold water
4. Thou shall air dry thou sticky socks
5. Thou shall purchase a cheap mesh laundry bag to hold thou sticky socks so thou sticky socks don’t get lost in the wash
6. Thou shall keep cheap mesh laundry bag in thou gym bag for easy access
7. Thou shall always wear thou sticky socks on carpet because thou teacher doesn’t want to touch thou stinky feet
8. Thou shall buy more than one pair of sticky socks as to not grow a strange foot fungus from overusing sweaty socks
9. Those shall wear the stickiest of thou sticky socks for better control of sliders or equipment
10. Those shall not feel obligated to match thou sticky socks to thou outfit but since thou has to look at thouself in the mirror for an hour, thou might as well look cute
Amen
One of biggest lessons that keeps coming up for me over the years is PATIENCE. It truly does go a long way.
It is easy these days to always be looking for the next best thing- the next best relationship, the next best job, the next best place to live, the list goes on.
When I found the Bar Method 6 years ago I completely fell in love with the method. I knew that teaching within the Bar Method was something I wanted more of. For awhile I wasn’t sure what that something would be and there were moments when I felt stuck and unsure of where I was going. But I continued to be patient with it because I felt if I kept putting the time in, the opportunity would present itself.
I am happy to say that opportunity did arrive and I am so happy I stuck through all the challenging times. Thanks to @annatrepanier and @lara_meehan , I now get to teach, manage, and train teachers at the new, beautiful @barmethodnoho and work with amazing, inspiring people everyday. (If you haven’t been yet, get your booties there!)
All the waiting I did and being unsure has paid off. Sometimes working through things and deepening skills and relationships is worth it. Trust your intuition. Patience goes along way

You want your workout to be the best expression it could be. You want to be able to do ALL OF THE THINGS.
But I cannot stress enough: you should NOT do “all of the things” every day.
And that’s why the one thing you should always do in any workout is MODIFY IF YOU NEED TO.
Form comes first. The second that your form starts to crumble, that’s when you should modify. Come down to a knee, lower weight (or lose the weights completely), work at a lower speed, change position, hold a plank. Whatever it is, do it.
It’s okay if your best form today is easier than your best form tomorrow. What’s important is that your body is supported and strengthened for longevity, not just to prove a point today.
I’ve been back at @barmethodkc for 2 weeks now and it feels so good! I went to Bar Method my entire pregnancy and went until the day before I delivered (pic on left). I’m so thankful I was able to be more active in this pregnancy vs my previous two. I took 14 weeks off after having Kate and my body & mind missed it!
Today was Kate’s first day going with me and she did great! Daycare at a fitness center or studio is a game changer for parents!
I’m slowly getting back into my “normal” routines again, now just navigating it with 3 kids!
Exercise is important not only for my body but my mental health, and I’m so thankful for @thebarmethod. It makes me feel strong!

Today isn’t day one.
Today, my journey shifted again.
It’s been 13 weeks since I’ve been to a class at Bar Method, but today I went to class.
I’m 13 weeks postpartum and I feel like SO much has happened since my last class on April 2nd... the day before I had Kate.
That’s because so much HAS happened.
I had a c-section.
I became a mother to a beautiful baby girl.
I became a breastfeeding mother.
Our family moved.
I’m doing pelvic floor physical therapy.
I have had one child with a tongue/lip tie revision and am in the process of preparing another one for revision in a few weeks.
And a million other things I won’t bore you with!
So this morning when I felt weak and out of shape during the first 5 minutes of class, I reminded myself that all that matters is I showed up.
I set my alarm and made time for myself.
I’m not starting all over.
My journey just shifted and I am in the process of rebuilding again.
And I will.
Because I am strong.
I am a fighter.
I don’t give up easily.
And most importantly, I love and appreciate my body enough to take care of it.
PS- @barmethodkc it’s was SO good to be back!
