I am SO EXCITED that I finally got around to hanging these botanical prints If you saw my stories yesterday, you know I’ve been holding onto these for at least five years just waiting on the right way to showcase them and it was like a light bulb went off when @the.bravo.homestead posted her picture of her frames hanging from this style of hook a couple of weeks ago . . . What I love most about hanging them this way is that it allows me to fill more space on the wall without having to use more prints and frames. I’m finally at a point where I feel like I can drop some money on 8 frames (got them at Walmart, but they were still around $70 after tax for all 8), but about 5-6 years ago on a starting teacher salary that was definitely not a purchase I could make. This way, I can fill the whole wall but not have to use 12 frames. Win! . . . Also, I have no idea what Floki is staring at so intently out the window. I sketch most of my designs first then trace them onto grey lino. These ginkgo leaves have such intricate lines, so I have to clean the carving after each print so the ink doesn’t clog up the details. I then take my time to hand print with a bamboo baren. I love this process and it feels quite meditative. I have 4 of these limited prints up on Etsy ✨

Feeling quite accomplished after hanging this botanical print set from @antiquefarmhouse. The bath remodel has really had me stressed and overwhelmed so it was so nice to step away and actually get something else done. What are your thoughts on this reclaimed wall. It really bothers me. Call me picky but I feel like it just isn’t cohesive with the rest of the house. Keep it or change it?

Happy Monday, friends! Hope it’s been a good one. It’s raining again here today, but yesterday afternoon the sun came out for a few glorious hours and we played outside in short sleeves, picked up a mountain of sticks in the yard, hung out on our dirty front porch, and I finally tossed all our dead potted plants!
