We had such a great time @gardenmuseum last night admiring this year’s #britishflowersweek installations by @rowan_blossom @bloomandburn @wormlondon @allforlovelondon @carlyrogersflowers All the designers worked to a theme of memory so it’s wonderful walking through the nave understanding what experiences they’ve brought to life in their designs. True to form we were so busy chatting with everyone and loving the flowers that we took utterly rubbish photos that don’t do any of them justice so get down to @gardenmuseum THIS WEEK, the installations will be up until Sunday afternoon and there’s even late opening this Friday for an after work floral perusal. ~ Friday Farm Shop Flowers ~ I can’t believe it’s Friday again already and we’ve reached the longest day. How lovely it is to see the sun! This week’s Farm Shop bunches are a bright cheery lot with Feverfew making it’s first appearance. The star of the show, though, has to be the catchily named ‘Hollandia Salmon Pink With Eye’ Sweet William. It’s a really unusual colour and very striking. It opens an intense salmon coral colour and fades to a softer pink. I love finding unusual varieties of well known flowers. Another favourite Sweet William is ‘Kaleidoscope’ which comes in a range of pinks and purples with different coloured flowers within the same head -most Sweet Williams have the same colour all the way through the flower head so this one is a bit more special. The bunches will be on sale at Primrose Vale today so get them whilst they’re there. H o o r a y ..... have I told you it’s British Flowers Week here in the UK? Well it is, in case that has escaped you. A chance to celebrate and shout about all the beautiful British Grown flowers that are available from spring until the Autumn - we may not produce much flowery stuff naturally through the depths of winter but BOY do we make up for it when the growing season begins. So much pretty, so much scent. And just in case you don’t know I use my flowers to make your weddings, funerals or parties pretty. I can also make your friends or family happy with gift bouquets.
