Had the privilege to try some of their new dishes and here they are, ranked in order of my preference! . . . 1️⃣Laksa Soft-Shell Crab ($16.90) This dish won me over with the very first mouthful, and my dining partner and I unanimously voted this as our favourite dish, with both of us praising the dish non-stop as we polished every single drop of that laksa The noodles had a nice bite to them and the laksa sauce was just soo thick and fragrant! The dish also comes with mini fishballs and even quail eggs, which I think is a nice touch.Don't spend too long taking photos though, your softshell crab will get soggy . . . 2️⃣Sambal Tumis Toolang ($24.90) The meat was really melt-in-your-mouth tender too The gravy leans towards the sweeter side, yet it wasn't cloyingly so, and I loved how the flavour was so well-marinated into the meat! . . . 3️⃣Briyani Burger ($18.90) If you love your spices real strong, this burger might be just the thing for you! That being said, I couldn't really taste the mutton and the spices proved to be rather overpowering after awhile. I guess the Raita dressing atop the patty as well as cheese attempted to balance out the strong flavour of the spices, but I was still rather overwhelmed The patty was really moist an juicy, yet had a great bite to it, which I really liked though! . . . Like Sir David Attenborough discovering a new sub-species of an animal, coming upon this cheesecake was just as intriguing for me. It defied existing categorisations of cheesecake that I knew of, and had me pondering in wonder as I gobbled bite after bite with gusto. The filling, a secret blend of cheeses including blue, walked the fine line between two states of matter. Uncut, it behaved - cordoned neatly within the buttery crust (which tasted fine but had me wishing it was slightly less thick at the edges) but slicing unleashed it. If you crave for the lemak Katong Laksa, and you don’t want to travel to the east, this is as good as the original. Enough lemak and flavour to satisfy your craving for anything laksa. _ P3-4: Laksa Yong Tau Foo $7.00. Using the same laksa paste as the Katong laksa. Freshly made YTF meets Katong Laksa broth. Instant noodles are hidden beneath the lemak gravy. Alternatively, you can order Laksa Instant Noodle only for $7.00 without the YTF.
