Happy Feast Day of St. JPII | Part 1 . “Dear young people, let yourselves be taken over by the light of Christ, and spread that light wherever you are.” . I absolutely love St. JPII and always looked at him as a spiritual grandfather in my life. He was so endearing, loving, and had such a magnetic persona that everyone who knew him or was around him was completely drawn to him. His light and energy came from his deep love for Jesus, especially in the Eucharist, and from his devotion to our Blessed Mother. . This Feast Day I really wanted to honour him and draw special attention to this godly man. I also wanted to highlight my sweet boy Bosco, who was so game to dress up as this saint and who recently celebrated his 5th birthday. Elymais' ninth month was such sweet fun and full of babbling, dancing, food exploration, and a little bit of separation anxiety This little girl is always on the move and we are trying our best to keep up! Our experience as parents continues to be super humbling to say the least. While it can be discouraging when we face the overwhelming tasks that come with family life, as parents we have to constantly remind ourselves that nothing is more important in the task of parenting than raising littles to know and love God. I wanted to share a reflection I found in a book recently that is a great reminder when the days with the kids get difficult or exhausting. Remember as Mothers, we are part of a greater plan and purpose. Being a Mom is one of the biggest blessings! ♥️ ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ • • • “Reflect on how our Lord has truly blessed you throughout your motherhood journey. Consider how you can strive to find beauty and wisdom in your vocation and in life. Take time to truly thank God for all His gifts, especially for putting you right there in the midst of your family. He has specifically chosen you to mother your children. Even though we know a mother’s job is very much one of service, don’t forget there is a tremendous amount of room for joy within your vocation as well. Try to leave the past to yesterday and don’t waste time worrying about tomorrow. Live now, in the present moment, cherishing the time as you mother your children. Do your best not to allow the weight of responsibility or fatigue to overcome your joy, laughter and fun are gifts from God, as well, and help us maintain our balance.
