Serum Sunday ‍♀️ a totally made-up concept because I wanted to share my collection today. . This is a pretty solid gathering of my currently open serums, and I’d happily recommend any of them. They’re all fairly different and range from super light-weight (the D’Alba Serum Spray and Purito Centella) to the extremely moisturizing (Dr Jart Ceramidin, Commleaf Vitarice Glow & Steambase RoseHerb). I’ve almost finished the Iunik and my second Purito Centella, and I’d say they’re my “everyday” choices that can be used whenever. The others are more selective treatment options when my skin needs a little something something (for example I turn to the Purito snail when my skin needs healing). What’s your number 1 serum? . Back to basics this weekend! A few months ago, @iunik_official gifted me three products of my choice Over the next few days I’ll be posting my reviews; first up is the @iunik_official Black Snail Restore Serum . I chose this serum because it reminded me of my HG snail essence from @cosrx! Let me know below if you’d like a comparison reviewThis serum is lightweight and watery, with the classic stringy snail texture. It contains 70% snail secretion filtrate, and also stars centella asiatica water, niacinamide, and quite a few fermented extracts. My skin drinks this right up and is left super hydrated with a glowy sheen. This serum dries down to a soft, natural finish with no residue or tackiness, and layers well with my other skincare. Although I haven’t noticed any anti-wrinkle/lifting effects, the serum definitely lives up to its claims to restore the skin barrier, and provide brightened and glowy skin. The dropper and bottle are good quality and sturdy - the dropper picks up the perfect amount of serum every time Overall this is a great basic and gentle serum for hydrating with subtle brightening and plumping. Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule* Review . to be honest, i’ve actually used this on-and-off since, like, january i think? then why did it take me THAT long to review well, because at first it didn’t feel like the product does anything... turns out i’m quite wrong. alrightey matey let’s get into a bit introduction before i’m going all-out on the review, aye? . i got this product from @skin1004indonesia launching event which took place near the end of 2018 (i know, this review is long overdue ). this is the star product from the brand, an ampoule made of 100% centella asiatica extract which breaks down into 40% madecassic acid, 30% asiatic acid, and 30% asiaticoside (source: cosdna). even though it’s 100% extract, pretty sure the extraction process involves water so yeah, take it with a grain of salt. . the product has watery viscosity and has slightly yellowish color. when applied to skin, it sinks in fast, leaving no tacky feeling at all. since it’s so watery i sometimes use it AS hydrating toner, sometimes after hydrating toner as serum/ampoule like its name. i just do it however i want at the moment, really. does the order give any difference? eh, nah. i honestly just use it however i feel like at the moment . the first couple weeks of incorporating this into my routine, i didn’t really feel any significant effect other than hydration. i even tried CSM method with this but nah, no soothing, no reduced redness which honestly i expect from a 100% centella asiatica product. that made me go “meh” at first, but i was still curious so i tried to drop it off for a week or so before picking it up again to see if my skin missed this product or not. still, no biggie whatsoever ‍♀️ . continue in the comment
