⁣ Happy Cinco de Mayo! Are you ready for some good tequila in a delicious, spicy cocktail? I've got you!⁣ ⁣ I am having a blast with my collaboration with @tequilacazadores, especially today. For my Cinco de Mayo cocktail, I chose the Reposado, whose notes of wood, vanilla, pear, and caramel add a hint of lovely complexity and play beautifully with the fruit and heat in the mango, ginger, and chiles.⁣ ⁣ Fiery Ginger Mango Margarita⁣ ⁣ 2 oz Cazadores Tequila Reposado⁣ 1/2 ripe mango, peeled⁣ 1-2 thin slices fresh ginger⁣ a bit of a fresh habanero, as much as you dare (but probably less than I dare)⁣ 1 oz lime juice⁣ 1/2 oz agave syrup (or to taste)⁣ tiny pinch salt⁣ garnish with mango and habanero⁣ ⁣ Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth. Shake with ice and strain (or, if you prefer a frozen drink, blend with ice). I was chatting with Jordan @highproofpreacher and we both love the idea of mashing up two different cocktails into one and thought it’d be a fun to make it into a challenge. So I’d like to introduce the #frankendrinkchallenge ‍♂️(<- pretend that’s Frankenstein’s monster) - The plan is simple: take two of your favorite classic cocktails and combine them together to make one tasty franken-cocktail. Examples could be a Margarita+Martinez, or a Last Word+New York Sour. The crazier the combination the better! Use the hashtag #frankendrinkchallenge and challenge a few of your friends to see what combos they come up with - I’ll start with a revamp of my Hurricane Sour from a while back which combines a classic NOLA Hurricane with a Whiskey Sour. Have you ever tried blackberries and rosemary together? It's a delicious pairing! Rosemary is so full of essential oils, it is super easy to extract its flavors. Try it in this collins using 1.5 oz Gin 0.5 oz Manzanilla Sherry 0.75 oz Rosemary syrup 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice 3 Blackberries Muddle blackberries with gin Add all other ingredients and shake with ice. Fine strain over ice and top with 2 oz of soda. Cheers! . To make a rosemary simple syrup simply put two sprigs of the herb in 500ml of hot water and 500ml of sugar. Stir until the sugar is entirely dissolved and let cool down to room temp and you have it.
