There had been a string of android murders recently. The androids all showed signs of torture, and going from the dates they were reported missing had seemed to be being held for roughly a week before they were killed and dumped. Gv200 had been away from Nines investigating on the opposite side of the building, and all he remembered was feeling an intense shock, everything going black, and waking up in a small cage. That was 6 days ago. Since he was first kidnapped, he had been cut, burned, shocked, hit, tortured in every way for the simple amusement of a few humans. He was alone in the room right now, his led blaring red, fuck when was the last time it had been any other color but red. He really didn’t know how much longer he could last, his processor was broken so he couldn’t get an exact read on his damage, but his synthetic skin had faded to its white base in multiple patches around his body, he also had a deep cut over his nose that no matter what he tried kept bleeding dark blue thirium. God, he felt so much...pain? Fear? Helplessness?.. fuck he was gonna die here, wasn’t he? Gavin flinched, already starting to quiver, when the door was opened and light beamed through the open door. He looked up with wide fearful eyes, not really seeing, and gripped the hood of his jacket pulling it close, as if the white fabric would protect him from the next round of torture.

Gavin had the unlucky odds of working Christmas at the DPD. All the previous years, he didn’t give a fuck, but this year was gonna be his and Connors first Christmas together. All Gavin wanted was to be at home with Connor and his two cats, Christmas music blasting in the background as they exchanged gifts, but the two of them were stuck in the Detroit cold at a crime scene. He was walking away from the crime scene when he felt his boyfriend come up behind him and put a hand over his eyes and his warm breath close to his ear. “Connor, I’m working! The fuck?!”

Everything seemed to slow as GV200 was falling. They had chased the android suspect to the roof and a fight broke out, at some point Gavin was pushed to the ground and when he looked up seconds later, he saw the android running off and the detective was on the edge of the building trying to regain his balance, but Gavin could already tell it was a loss fight and the detective was already teetering backwards, teetering over the edge. Two options appeared in his vision. One (mission priority): Chase and apprehend the suspect. Two: Sacrifice self to save the Detective. Gavin didn’t even have to think, didn’t need to look at the low 5% probability of survival over the detective’s head before he was running towards the man. He lurched out and grabbed the detective, turning and roughly pulling him back to safety; the same momentum that sent Gavin over the edge, falling. He felt the wind fighting harshly against his form as he fell, and he reached out a hand out instinctively. He saw the detective peer over the ledge with wide eyes, yelling something that Gavin couldn’t quite make out. Gavin’s LED went red as he started uploading his memories, he couldn’t help the smile that came to his face when he read the words in his vision. Secondary mission: Successful.

GV200 was the latest in android technology, while he could do all the police work that the HK series could do, he was created with a far superior internal analyzer, meaning he could analyze more than just blood, and get results even quicker. He was also programmed to act more human, in both actions and words. It was his first day at the DPD and he was barely able to greet his partner before he was practically dragged off to a crime scene by the man. Which left him where was now, staring at a splatter of fresh thirium on the wall. He reached a hand out but paused, curling his fingers against his palm. He felt...apprehensive, maybe he didn’t want get his gloves dirty, or maybe the thought of putting another android’s blood into his mouth repulsed him, either way he couldn’t get himself to move an inch. He was too focused on his own thoughts that he didn’t even see his partner walk up to him.
