Refugio La Roca is on the Mesa de Los Santos, on the other side of the canyon from the park. The fiercely sustainable hostel is located next to La Mojarra, the best rock-climbing spot in the area, and climbing courses are on offer. Can you guess what this architecture was made for? A must visit in India! Chand Baori is a stepwell situated in the village of Abhaneri in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was built by King Chand Raja from the Gujara Pratihara clan, who claim to be the descendant of Lord Ram's younger brother Laxman. The oldest parts of the step-well date from the 8th century onwards, but the upper stories were built around the 18th century during the Mughal era. Chand Baori consists of 3,500 narrow steps over 13 stories. It extends approximately 30 m (100 ft) into the ground, making it one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India. The state of Rajasthan is extremely arid, and the design and final structure of Chand Baori was intended to conserve as much water as possible. At the bottom of the well, the air remains 5-6 degrees cooler than at the surface, and Chand Baori was used as a community gathering place for locals during periods of intense heat. Watch northern lights/sunset out of the bed! Thanks to the @panoramaglasslodge you can sleep under the stars in Iceland. You can also enjoy a private outdoor hot pool. A young family in Reykjavík (originally from Switzerland and Germany) is running the business and designed the Glass Lodge by themselves. They had the idea to create an absolutely unique getaway in Iceland where it is possible to watch the northern lights and the midnight sun right out of the bed or the hot pool. We just came back from NYC, where we joined the Design Week, and we could not miss the splendid @highlinenyc walk, a 1.5–mile long public park built on an abandoned elevated railroad stretching from the @meatpackingny to the Hudson Rail Yards in #Manhattan. The High Line’s design is a collaboration between @fieldoperations (Project Lead), @diller_scofidio_renfro and @pietoudolf "Its surface is digitized into discrete units of paving and planting which are assembled along the 1.5 miles into a variety of gradients from 100% paving to 100% soft, richly vegetated biotopes,” said the designers. Would you live on an Island in Norway? This small house is situated on the south coast of Norway. The site is characterized by smooth and curved rocks that goes down towards the ocean. House on an Island by Atelier Oslo was built for two artists that wanted a house for contemplation and working. The topography of the site was carefully measured to integrate the rocks into the project. The hob is no longer an irremovable block in your kitchen, where the distance between the nozzles is never enough when you are cooking with larger pots.
