Anyone looking to lose weight will automatically turn to the scales as an indicator of how their plan is working, even though as most of you know the scale on its own isn’t really your best insight, long term it’s useful to see trends, but there are a trillion other ways that can be indicators plan is successfully moving you towards your goal. If you have ever compared how you feel after eating different foods you’ll know that food has the power to make you feel wonderful or pretty dam awful. Your meals once eaten should leave you feeling satisfied & not suddenly feeling ravenous half an hour later.

Your energy levels over time should increase, with less energy slumps.Very often this is the thing people notice first before any measurement changes.

Your sleep should improve. Eating the right foods will help your give your brain the food things it needs to aid better sleep. ( look for foods containing tryptophan that’s a key player) Again this may happen before the numbers move.

You be performing better in the gym & things should feeling a little easier or less exhausting. You should also be recovering better.

Feeling happier, more confident with a more positive outlook is also a great indicator. Your brain likes nutrients so if you’re providing, it’s way of saying ta very much is to keep you on more of an “emotional even keel” obviously that also comes from you feeling achieved that you’ve been sticking to your new found nutrition habits.

It shouldn’t be causing you any additional life stresses. You should find your not constantly thinking about your “diet” & you have the ability to enjoy a family meal or an occasion in a controlled way, with no stress or feelings of guilt. You’re just living your life.

We had an amazing day and night but I got up this morning feeling bloated AF I ate lots of food that I don’t normally eat and felt terrible it’s crazy how different foods can make you feel and until you change your diet you don’t even realise ⠀

I always used to feel tired and sluggish and now know a lot was due to the amount of carbs and processed foods I was eating ⠀

The last thing I wanted to do today was hit the gym, especially with sore feet after wearing heels for 14 hours yesterday. I got up with sore swollen feet. My feet were made for Nike’s not heels ⠀

Once I got into my session though I really enjoyed it and it made me come back to life. It doesn’t matter whether you want to do it or not you just gotta dig deep and do it regardless it’s the only way I’m going to see results and I know it. Just needed to convince myself of that this morning ⠀

35 LBS the excitement is real! Yesterday was the actual day butttttt my kids took up every ounce of my being so it had to wait!!! I am beyond excited and have never felt so great! My addictions, yes addictions, to food are gone I have been drinking my ketones 2x a day and having a nightly tea while making good food choices and it’s all paying off!
