New planner ✔️ New job ✔️ New Flair pens ✔️ After an incident that rocked my world last August, I stepped away from the classroom. It was the hardest decision I have ever made. I spent 17 years doing something that I absolutely loved, still love. While I’m not counting it out completely, it’s not in the cards now. I see these #novemberphotochallenge and feel like I need to join in to remind myself what I so grateful for and what really matters! I’m a proud and grateful for both kids. My oldest made honor roll, decided to play saxophone and aside from his achievements he is damn good person! So thoughtful and caring to everyone. He is a great person. This guy here, Cameron.. it’s no surprise he had a tough time in his short four years on this earth. From being a baby with severe gi issues, catching RSV and every funky sickness you can have. Surgery by one yrs old, lots of sleepless nights bc of gi pain, and basically a lot of crying and crankiness. Then 18 moths he regressed. He stopped making eye contact, he stopped talking or attempting to talk. He was just so unhappy like 90 % of the time . The next few years were the toughest years of my life. He started all kinds of therapy, he started school. It was a constant rollercoaster of emotions. For years. This year starting school in August the teacher was prepping for the (strong) possibility that he won’t make it to kindergarten bc e tested so low in the beginning of the year. I knew Cameron’s potential. He is super smart, he just has a hard time expressing himself. So back to the grateful part: We had a parent / teacher conference this am and Im still beyond blown away. His teacher brought up such wonderful things. How he catching up expressively and the biggest thing that elatedy heart this am.. how he took the new boy under his wing. Showing him love, acceptance and helping him.❤️ God that right there, was just amazing. I was so proud. Then the teacher ended with “if he continues at that rate he will be promoted to Kindergarten next year” Im so beyond grateful for his progress, he determination. ❤️❤️

6 yr old already! Our baby is growing up Cameron you inspire our family and have overcome so much in your short 6 yrs. I’m trying super hard to not be so emotional, but thinking back to things is hard. Mommy’s got it tho (I’ll keep this short and sweet tho .. as hard as it is) . #Repost @takallam #Omynme ・・・ ابنك بلغ عامه الثاني وما زال لا يتحدث. يقول بعض الكلمات ولكن بالمقارنة مع أقرانه تعتقد انه متأخر. تتذكر بان اخه كان متفوق في الحديث في نفس هذه الفئة العمرية. على أمل بانه سوف يتقدم في النطق واللغة لاحقاً، تأجل اخذ مشورة المتخصصين. تقول لنفسك "لا شيء يدعو للقلق" و "سوف يكبر ويتعلم." هذا السيناريو يعتبر مشترك بين أولياء أمور الأطفال الذين يعانون من اضطرابات النطق واللغة و الذين يتأخرون في الكلام. اذا لم يلاحظ ولي الامر التأخر في مناطق اخرى من تطور الطفل، يمكن ان يتردد في طلب المشورة.

معرفة ما هو "طبيعي" في مراحل تطور النطق و اللغة مهم جداً لملاحظة ما هو "غير طبيعي." يمكن أن يكون من الصعب على الوالدين معرفة إذا كان الطفل يعاني من مشكلة في النطق/اللغة او اذا كان مجرد متاخر في الحديث. اذا كان احد الوالدين يشك بأن الطفل لديه مشكلة، في معظم الحالات يكون على حق. اذا كان طفلك يعاني من اضطرابات النطق واللغة، العلاج المبكر قد يمنع الإحباط و الصعوبات المرتبطة بعدم قدرته على التواصل مع الآخرين. كلما استمرت اضطرابات النطق واللغة مع الطفل رغم تقدمه فى السن كلما كانت أكثر رسوخاً وأصعب فى العلاج. التدخل المبكر مهم لاكتشاف الإصابة بمشاكل النطق واللغة وتحديد التوصيات المقترحة لعلاجها و أبعادها. اضطرابات النطق واللغة قابلة للعلاج والتدخل المبكر هو المساهم الرئيسي في العلاج الفعال و تقصير فترات العلاج. #earlyinterventioniskey #earlyinterventionworks #earlyintervention
