The #AfD decided on wanting #Germany to leave the EU, a so called " #Dexit ". It is a dark future we would be looking towards if Germany leaves the EU, for Germany and the #EU. We can't let that happen!!! It should be our priority in Germany to stop this nonsensical right wing #populism. Sadly and although the AfD gets watched by the #German intelligence service, this party has 14 % if votes and that's not acceptable for a country like Germany with it's history. #europeannation #EuropeanUnion #europe #europeanelections

This week sees the launch of a campaign I’ve spent much time and energy on over the last months. I get hugely excited about the idea of 420 million people from 28 different countries voting together in one transnational election held in 24 languages. The European election is the second biggest democratic vote on the planet, only India’s elections involve more people. Let’s make 23 - 26 May a date to celebrate, a day to get out and take part in democracy and be heard saying: 'Yes I care about the European Union. Yes I want it to exist and I want it to get better, I don’t want it to be destroyed'. Simply by taking part in this election, and voting for parties that favour cooperation over confrontation, you are saying: 'I don’t want the world to revert back to nationalism and I don’t want strongmen to govern me.’ To stand up now for democracy and for Europe is urgent. -- The European Parliament is the directly elected representation of the union’s citizens. It has great power and is more important than ever. Only by taking part in it’s election, can you make sure your voice is heard. Vote Together is an independent campaign of individuals across many EU countries. Visit our website www.votetogether.eu for information why the EU matters, on how to vote and also to download posters and videos, like this one, of a poster I texted and designed and had translated into all 24 official EU languages. Please help spread the word about the importance and the fun of voting together this May. Go with friends or family, have a voting party. or use your postal vote. I’m German-Polish, my boyfriend is Swedish. I lived in several European countries. Now, I’m living in Belgium and had roommates from France, Luxembourg and Portugal when I arrived 2.5 years ago. While I’m lying in a hotel bed in Portugal, where I went to for work, using my 4G for which I pay in Belgium, I am planning holidays in Sweden, Spain, France and Croatia. I’m eating Italian, Greek, Polish, French, Portuguese food at restaurants set up by internationals in Belgium, with friends and colleagues from Ireland, The Netherlands and Denmark. And I am quite sure that without the EU most of this would’ve not been possible or at least not in such an easy and uncomplicated way. The EU isn’t only about legislation, rules and making some things a pain in the . It’s about integration, cultural exchange, cooperation in all fields imaginable and the list goes on. Even though we might not always see the benefits the EU brings, they’re there. That’s why we all should vote in the European Parliament elections on 26 May. It’s just a little✖️in a little box and you’re done. Thanks for your attention, now back to food-Kaja. ‍♀️ #bearforeu

In less than two months, Europeans will be called to make a crucial decision on the kind of Europe they want. It’ll also be a chance for them to stand up and protect Europe from its internal enemies that have been for long now trying to destroy it from within. Last week, along with hundreds of citizens, we took to the streets to show our love for a European project that is, more than ever, worth fighting for. We marched to make it clear that the Europe we want is a Europe where equality, solidarity, sustainability become the cornerstones rather than simple complements. On 23-26 May take your chance to stand up for Europe and go vote! . . . #elections #govote #europe #europeanelections #eu

Approfittiamone. Comunque, lo spirito è giusto. #dajecosì ______________________________ #fridaysforfuture #climatestrike #thistimeimvoting #climatechange #europeanelections
