I reeeeeally wish that I'd had time this month to participate in the daily #marchmeetthemaker tag ... I have SO enjoyed everybody else's posts. Here's an abbreviated 'about me'. I've always loved flowers. My favourite pastime as an only child was dreaming in the garden, smelling the roses and the lavender and making potions I became obsessed with flowers though after designing the flowers for my wedding. I took myself off to night school for three years to study floristry. My business was originally called 'Hanami' - which is Japanese for 'the appreciation of flowers'. However, I quickly realised that people did not know how to pronounce it ... or spell it ... and I was always having to explain what it meant. So, I chose a more 'does what it says on the tin' name ... Flowerology. For those that have not met me, my name is Caroline. I'm 40. Aquarius. INFP. HSP. Non conformist. Very creative and 'think outside the box' ish. Born and bred proud Brummie. OMG you guys!!! #flowerologybirmingham has been featured in my very favourite wedding publication @wedflowersmag We are in their 'lookbook' inspiration section in their May/June issue out now!!! This is a huge honour because it is not a paid appointment (such as being on Rock My Wedding's 'The List', which is a paid advertisement). The Lookbook section of this magazine accepts entries on merit only (remember how I always bang on about how those handtied bouquets have to be able to stand by themselves - how else could they be photographed in this way if they were all floppy and falling over - the technique which achieves this - the spiralling technique - is one which I have practised and practised and practised). DM me to sign up to a workshop so that you can learn to do the same Anyway, the theme that I was given for my brief was 'Pink'. And that was it!! So, as it is Spring I went very seasonal - with cherry blossoms from my cutting garden I hope you like the results.
