Honest opinion time. Since my first star dress last summer I’ve made quite a number of these. Each one is slightly more encrusted with rhinestones than the last. If you scroll through the photos, the white and silver version was the earliest. The gold and off-white version my most recent. I’ve started trailing the stars down the skirt of the dress farther and farther each time. I had a customer in our antique store a couple days ago and she saw a star dress I was working on and asked how much I charged for something like that. When I told her $450 she said that was really inexpensive and I should be charging more. I’ve always been guilty of undercharging for my work. I really need to get a couple of these made and professionally shot on models. So do you all think I’m way off base charging $450 for a custom made wedding dress? I don’t pay attention to what other people are doing most of the time so I have little clue what wedding dresses go for these days. I will probably end up raising the prices on these shortly especially if I add sleeves. Villa Hamilton, one of ‘Folly’ structures in Schloss WÖRLITZ park. It is a small copy of the Villa of William Hamilton; English ambassador to the king of Naples. Interior is deliciously decorated with copies of Pompeian scenes. Next to it is it rock formation representing the Vesuvius. Fireworks were given from the rocks to stage a Vulcan eruption. Below grotto and fountains. In east German times the ‘Schloss’ itself was well preserved, however the follies structures in the park needed restoration and this has been done! Swipe to see the main hall in jewel box gorgeous WÖRLITZ. Dessau, Germany. It was the first house in Germany in classic style - ‘neoclassical style’, finished in 1773. It has perfect proportion’s for a grand house to live in. ( a grand ‘family home’) The park is impressive and with “follies”, and as with many of these gorgeous German palaces, no crowds, most likely you’ll be one of the few visitors and enjoying it as if you were the only person walking around.
