Today turned out to be a huge success! With only having a few weeks of training under my belt, I’m so happy with how my race went today. I managed to snag 3rd place in my age group while failing three obstacles...yikes! Yes I’m upset that I failed those three but I wasn’t going to let that ruin my race. My legs felt fast and light, I trusted my footing on the slick downhills and rocky terrain, and left it all out there on the course! I’m excited with how these last few weeks of training have gone and can’t wait to see where the next few weeks brings me!!! Watch out ladies cause when I make up that lost time on those three obstacles, you won’t ever see me coming!!! Plus, we got to hang out with some pretty awesome friends!! Huge shoutout to @bubblestheclowne for finding me on course and cheering me on ❤️

Healthy isn’t “working off” all your meals at the gym.

And healthy definitely isn’t limiting your caloric intake to 800 calories a day.

Healthy is eating nutritious, balanced meals each day and still saying yes to eating @chipcookiesco cookies when @tifitnessaz brings them to work. It’s exercising 3-6 days a week and allowing your body to rest when it NEEDS it. Quit trying fad diets or killing yourself at the gym only because you feel guilty for something you ate. Fuel your body right and challenge your mental and physical strength. That’s when you’ll start to look and feel the way you want to. Happy Tuesday Fam ✊
As if you didn’t already know...EXERCISE can be done wherever and whenever!
It shouldn’t matter if you are away with no access to a gym. I love doing my own thing when on any vacation and keeping it simple using my own body weight.
Today I finished my training with these jumps 5 sets, 5 reps (Normally performed on a wooden box) but when I saw this cemented little concrete wall, perfect height, I headed right for it!
Find what works for you, keep it simple, listen to good music while training and get committed to your health! No one is gonna do it for you but YOU!
*Remember everything can be modified for beginners too, so don’t assume you “can’t” do something! Get rid of that word because you CAN!! ⭐️

My basic body weight workout this morning consisted of:
▪️2mile jog (HIIT format, :30 sec jog :30 walk)
▪️Park Bench Push-ups/Tricep Dips
3 x 15 reps each -
▪️Walking Lunges 3 x 25 -
▪️Step ups 2 x 20 each leg
▪️Box Jumps 5 x 5

☑️Any and all exercises should always be performed with good core control, focus and proper body alignment! .
