This was a custom designed and built kitchen for one of our clients in the #6ix . It was a brand new townhome where our client had requested the builders to leave their kitchen unfinished. This made coming in and building their dream kitchen so much easier and quicker. It was such a pleasure working on this kitchen with the talented designer, @pris_yeung. BEFORE & AFTER It's always tricky when you have to get an 800lb steel beam into the basement through a small side window. On this project, we removed a load bearing wall that was dividing the room in three. We also added a built-in closet across an entire wall, refaced the fireplace, and changed the flooring. It really helped turn an impractical basement that had unusable space into an entire entertainment space. We are proud to present to you another project we did with @scillastudio. • This was a turn-key townhome that needed a little bit of a refresher. These clients love to entertain so gaining more space was important. Finally! Some more progress pictures of the 3rd story addition in the Annex. For this part of the build, we had the pleasure of using amazing products such as the ones from @prosocoinc . This company is well known for their products being energy efficient, durable, resilient, and sustainable. In the pictures we’ve posted here, you can see that we have used the Prosoco wet applied air and water resistive barrier (R-Guard Spray Wrap). But before anything else, we made sure that every seam was caulked and every nail was filled with their Joint & Seam Filler. We then blanketed all the exterior walls and roof with 2’’ @rockwoolna comfortboard 110 for that thermal break. Following that, we structurally screwed all our purlins down and installed a 2nd layer of plywood. This is to ensure the roof is properly vented. Everything done for this build not only meets the minimum code, but far exceeds it. I think it is safe to say that this house will keep warm in the winters and stay cool in the summers. An absolutely unique build to say the least! I can’t wait to share more and more pictures of this build with everyone! Welcoming the weekend with a BIG BANG And just like that, demo is 90% done. As we were updating our clients on the progress of their home, we asked the question, "How does it make you feel to see your home in this state?". They responded with, "It's exciting and scary". And we get that. A custom build at this scale is a pretty scary thing but that feeling will pass as we get further and further into the project. Nervousness and anxiousness will soon turn into curiousity and excitement. Not only do we pride ourselves in the quality of work we lay out, we also put a lot of effort and emphasis on the entire customer service experience. With every single client, no matter how big or small the job may be, we are there for them every single step of the way... Even if it means answering random questions late into the night.
