Weight Loss Vs Weight Gain

On the weight loss side there are no potatoes included in the dish. You can still lose weight and include potatoes you may just need to cut calories from somewhere else in your diet. The balsamic vinegar gives a lot of flavor for not very many calories in this recipe making it a solid meal for when you’re trying to lose weight. It’s quite a bit of volume for how many calories it has.
On the weight gain side is the addition of red potatoes and extra olive oil to add more calories. Chicken breast is a lean meat so it may be even better for you to swap it for a fattier meat if you wanted an even higher calorie meal. Adding some rice is another option that would make for an easy way to add calories.

How should you train for your specific body type?
-
We all heard of the "ectomorph", "mesomorph" and "endomorph" theory and that we should train according to our body type. -
Let me debunk this for you!
-
Theory 1: Research
You can't find any research that clearly tells you that you have to train THIS way for THAT type of body. Why? Because there is NONE.
-
Theory 2: Ecto, meso, endo
These types were classified VISUALLY. So when you see someone built lean, does it mean that he's an ectomorph? Maybe he has been training for 5 years and stayed lean, or maybe he has never worked out. But if he hasn't been working out, how can you determine at what rate he will build muscle?
In fact, there is no ecto, meso and endo. We are all built from different composition of these. -
Theory 4: Why did I give a male example earlier?
Because somatotyping is gender specific-men only. So that means there isn't a formal classification system for women, and this one wasn't meant to be applied to them.
-
Theory 5: A research found that the participants who began the study with the least amount of muscle were the ones who made the fastest progress.
According to somatotypes, if the participants looked less muscular, it meant that they were ectos. But the ectos build the most muscle in 12 weeks. Gym bro science says that ectos build muscle mass the hardest. Not this case. -
Theory 6: Take a fat and chunky guy (believed to be endo)
Put him to hardcore weight training and good diet. Now he turns lean, muscular and athletic. What is he now? Changed to mesomorph? Don't think so.
-
Genetics can't change the principles of biomechanics and physiology. Muscle tension is muscle tension. A diet is a diet. A squat is a squat.
And programming (technique, sets, reps, etc) is goal specific not body type specific.
And that link between body type and metabolism is also false. You burn calories if you work out, for example. You work out and build more muscle, then you change your BMR (basal metabolic rate) and burn more calories.
-
Somatotyping theory doesn't work. You’re better off experimenting with different approaches to diet and exercise, and adjusting what you do based on how your body responds
