TIP OF THE DAY: Keep your tap leg in line with the bent knee for your flip entrance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s important to pull the left blade right beside the tapping foot before taking off. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of the main problems I see in skaters struggling with the flip is that they end up doing a pivot around their toe making the flip spin rather than jump. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Make sure to put pressure in the left leg while sliding it towards the right toe so you can get a strong push off. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lastly, make sure to drive the right arm up and lift your left knee at the same time.
