**Sensitive Post** So we’ve known pretty much since Thursday when I broke a test open to see a faint line but today we got it confirmed that I’m definitely pregnant. Absolutely overjoyed. I’ve also now got OHSS which isn’t ideal but I’ll take it for that positive result. I appreciate these posts can be quite difficult for people to see I certainly felt that way myself but I think it’s important to show it can happen on your first transfer, you can be that lucky. Well today’s Valentine’s Day conception wasn’t quite what I had in mind or envisioned. 12 months after being referred for fertility treatment and 30 months after our journey began trying we had our first transfer. Two embryos were thawed yesterday and sadly one didn’t make it so another was thawed. Today they were both at the “2 cell stage” when they would have expected them to be at “4 cell stage”. Because of this and because they were unable to differentiate between which out of the two was the strongest to put back in me, I asked for both to come home. They agreed. I’m feeling positive, slightly disappointed but also keeping realistic that anything might happen. For now I’m going to enjoy this moment being “PUPO”. Pregnant until proven otherwise. Nach der langen Zeit von 2 Jahren und 7 Monaten bin ich nun endlich das erste mal in meinem Leben schwanger und konnte euch auch stolz meinen Schwangerschaftstest zeigen. Heute dann die Nachricht vom Bluttest: HCG bei 1750 an TF+11, PU+16. Das ist doch der Wahnsinn. Werden es Zwillinge? Ultraschall ist nun am 19.Juli. Dann sind wir schlauer! Natürlich halte ich euch auch weiterhin auf dem Laufenden. Es sind ja noch ein paar Hürden zu schaffen, bis ich mich vollends freuen kann - es ist alles ja noch sehr früh #ssw5 (4+4) Ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr mir alle erhalten bleibt, aber kann es natürlich auch verstehen, wenn Mädels gehen möchten - ich habe es damals nicht anders gemacht! ◦ Je hartje klopt! ❤️ ◦ Gisteren was het dan eindelijk zover, de eerste echo met 7 weken. Wat was het spannend! Gelukkig zagen we vrijwel meteen jou in het vruchtzakje zitten en je hartje knipperen. Wat een prachtig moment! Ik ben zo dankbaar dat we dit geluk eindelijk mogen meemaken. Als aandenken aan het zware traject hebben we in het Radboud dit mooie Nijntje knuffeltje gekocht. Jouw eerste knuffel en voor ons een herinnering wat het Radboud voor ons betekent heeft. Voor nu is het hoofdstuk daar afgesloten en kloppen we hopelijk over een paar jaar weer aan voor een broertje of zusje. So this has been said to me a few times over my #IVF journey. Because of this response to me talking about how exhausting #IVF is, I don’t share as much with other people anymore.
