Nico and Rafael are now a similar age to Corrado when I found out I was expecting twins again. I felt like my whole world was crumbling! I kept looking at him and feeling so sorry for him. I had always wanted a 4th baby so Corrado wouldn’t feel like the odd one out and would have another singleton to play with. I worried he wouldn’t cope, that he would feel even more singled out and that I wouldn’t have enough time for him. Throughout my pregnancy and since they were born he has been amazing. My helping hand, brilliant big brother and all round super star! I get Lot of questions about if he misses not being a twin but he’s not questioned why he doesn’t have a twin (yet). I am so grateful he came on his own and that I was lucky enough to have experienced motherhood with one baby. There is nothing that can really prepare you for the news that you're expecting twins, except for maybe when you've had the news before and you sort of had a feeling it might be twins again! Scientists are at a loss as to why identical twins happen, it's a random occurrence that's randomly happened to us twice. I certainly wasn't happy when I got the news but I wouldn't change it for anything now. I feel very privileged to watch their special bond. Happy National Twins Day! #nationaltwinsday2019

We had a rare day out with just the big 3 today. It was wonderful to spend some time without nappies and bottles and do things we can’t normally do with two extra babies. I’ve missed the little two but have hardly had time to think as it’s still a busy day with three children. Whilst in London we saw The Very Hungry Caterpillar and then went to some museums and had a quick visit to see Buckingham Palace. I really wish I’d brought a buggy as Corrado was extremely tired from all the walking, he hasn’t used one for over a year but carrying him today was hard work. I really struggle with a buggy in London and one of the reasons we didn’t bring Nico and Rafael was because I haven’t worked out how to get a double buggy on a busy tube. Any tips on London life with a double (or single buggy)? I noticed today that some of the tube stations don’t have lifts so I’m not sure how I’d manage. With having 5 children it’s so hard to make time to spend quality time with each of them. We’ve found that splitting them up occasionally works for us. The older two were treated to a trip to the football earlier this week with Dada and today we could concentrate on the big boys whilst the younger two were showered with attention from their grandparents.
