Memories will last a lifetime! • • What did you do this weekend you will remember? • • When I asked the kids what their wish was for Kids Day I only got requests for something to do. The kiddo that eventually was in charge for that day, picked something that we couldn’t realize on such short notice. But his patience got rewarded this weekend. He picked to go to Colorado Gators, as did his younger brother. ☺️ They got to hold a baby alligator, see lots of snakes and got to feed the alligators. • • After our visit, we stopped by the biggest sandpit we could find! The Great Sand Dunes. It was amazing! • • What you don’t see in the pictures is that I slept every change I got. I could barely walk because of the pain. But I was there! Memories were created, mama was there. My kids were really scared something would happen during my surgery. I can’t believe it is already Wednesday! Do you have anything fun planned? • • It is already the last week of Summer school and tomorrow is the last day. My boys are loving it and are sad for it to be over. They love it so much, they chose Summer school over their Summer camp! We start the morning on the schools playground with a game of groundies. Most of the time I’m it. Haha! That’s my workout for the day. • • I love the morning playtime with the kids and I will miss Summer school and that opportunity of intentional outside playtime in the morning. • • My shoes are from @nike and are flyknit running shoes. How to land your first collab with a hotel? • • You have probably noticed from my current feed that I recently worked with a hotel. • • I wanted to share with you a little bit about my tips on how to land a collab with a hotel when you’re just starting out. • • THE WHY The very first thing to consider is why should hotels work with you? A collab is a business deal and how can YOU help them GROW. • • MATCH HOTEL & NICHE The better match a hotel is for your readers, the better your results will be for the collaboration. • • INTRODUCTION Introduce yourself and your IG page. What do you write about? Share your stats honestly. Explain why your page is a good match with a hotel. • • START WITH 1 NIGHT For your first collab, ask to stay for one night, maybe two. Don’t ask for too much. BE SPECIFIC. Are you asking for a discount or a free stay. For how many people. Pick a calmer time for your first collab. Hopefully you’ll get a room that would have been empty anyways. • • OFFER A GOOD DEAL What are you offering? 2 IG post and 2 stories? A blogpost review or just a mention in an article. Make sure there is no confusion about the deliverables, and then deliver them. Under promise and over deliver. Offer stories, posts, IGTV videos, etc. And quantify. It is fun to stay in a hotel and the content created from it doesn’t look spammy. People love peeking into other people’s lives and discovering new cities, which presents the perfect opportunity to post a lot without annoying your audience. Don’t be afraid to post a lot. • • ALLOW THEM TO USE YOUR CONTENT When you reach out, let the hotel know that they are welcome to use the content you create in their hotel as often as they want. They’ll know they’ll have good content for a low cost! • • REACH OUT The last tip, if you don’t reach out and try, you’ll never realize anything! So don’t be afraid to ask!!!! • • Implement all these tips and you’re offering hotels a deal that is hard to say no to! • • Once you get one collab, you can use it to show other brands and hotels the quality of the work you can provide. • • GOOD LUCK!
