The immovable object. Hey everyone! Another tragedy. The tragedy being today is my birthday... So I decided to get myself a barricade to shield myself from my internal grief. I decided to finally fully finish my witcher cosplay, Imlerith by making his shield wall thus completing my full cosplay. Armor, sword, Warhammer and bulwark. It's rough but I just belted it out really fast. Started on Friday morning and admittedly got distracted alot but got it down to the details just now. I still have to rig a handle and strap for my arm but other than that... Looky... It's a big ass shield

A few days ago I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful group of Witcher cosplayers. And Steen who is a wonderful photographer. His pictures inspire me a lot. . Storytime... As some of you might know, composing pictures in Photoshop is something I really want to learn. But I've never been good at it. I made a lot of attempts that I never showed to anyone because they looked like shit. You could see a lot of things that were wrong in these pictures and I didn't have the skills to bring the picture I had in mind to life... The Witcher shooting and Steens photos inspired me to give it another try. . So this time I took the time to watch and follow along two of Phlearns tutorials on compositing (no, I'm not paid for writing this, I just think that Aaron is a wonderful mentor). I tried his workflow and hopefully got some things right this time. Sure, there still might be things that a Photoshop professional might see and criticize - but please be gentle with me this time. This is the first composition that I'm not afraid of to show to someone (and the first I didn't delete instantly). I even created the portal all by myself and like it. .
