I always miss Stephen when he is away, especially when he's gone to a different continent, but luckily I was busy having fun while he was traveling. Last Friday, I went to Woosong's 5th Culture Food Festival with @travel__with__tony24. It's a fundraiser where Woosong teachers and students make and sell food for charity. I might not have had enchiladas and pizza in America like Stephen, but I am estatic about the fact that I had a very decent tamale in Korea (for 3,000 won no less). The Chicago Dog was also really good and something I'm looking forward to getting again at the next festival in the Fall.

Sfiha b’lahmeh (Spiced Lamb pies)
are open-faced Levantine meat pies filled with minced lamb (or beef) and mixed with onions, tomatoes, baharat, and pomegranate molasses. They’re one of my favourite appetisers. So delicious and served really well as finger food for a party or a buffet dinner. The success in these beauties lies in the dough and also in well spiced meat. I like to combine the filling with pomegranate molasses, a bit of tahini and Labneh for an amazing nutty sour flavour. Yesterday these were eaten at Iftar alongside other dishes and they tasted incredible. I served them while hot, with a squeeze of lemon juice on top! Delicious! Best food delicacy. .
