「KEW GARDENS / CARNIVOROUS PLANT」 Se devo essere sincero, mai avrei immaginato che una pianta carnivora potesse fare un fiore così bello. Lei è stata una scoperta ai @kewgardens, la Heliamphora. È un genere di piante native del Sud America e il suo nome viene dal greco “helos”, palude dove si trova in natura, e “amphoreus”, anfora per la forma caratteristica delle foglie, dove l’acqua si deposita e attira gli insetti che immancabilmente rimangono intrappolati. Esistono però piante carnivore che riescono a sopravvivere ai nostri climi senza tenerle in casa. Un paio di esempi sono la Sarracenia e la Drosera. Ho due piccoli vasetti nel mio balcone, come se non avessi abbastanza piante, ma volevo provare . Il vaso rimane immerso per metà dell’altezza in una cassetta di zinco. Purtroppo tale vaschetta è stata la meta per piccioni che immagino volessero rinfrescarsi, distruggendo le piantine. Vediamo se ricacceranno. Inconvenienti a parte, ma voi le coltivate? . [Eng] To be honest, I never imagined that a carnivorous plant could make such a beautiful flower. It was a discovery at @kewgardens, the Heliamphora. It is a genus of plants native to South America and its name comes from the Greek "helos", marsh where it is found in nature, and "amphoreus", amphora for the characteristic shape of the leaves, where the water settles and attracts insects that invariably remain trapped. But there are carnivorous plants that manage to survive our climates without keeping them indoors. A couple of examples are Sarracenia and Drosera. I have two small pots in my balcony, as if I didn't have enough plants, but I wanted to try. The pot remains immersed for half the height in a zinc box. Unfortunately, this pan was the destination for pigeons that I imagine wanted to cool off, destroying the plants. Let's see if they push back. Disadvantages apart, but do you grow them?
