I thought I’d share #howiknit stranded colourwork. I learned this technique of holding two stranded on one finger about a year ago and have knit 3 sweaters this way. I really like it, although my gauge is a little looser than when I knit one strand so I have to change needle sizes for colourwork sections. Laura and I are preparing for our colourwork classes and we’ve been thinking about all the different ways to hold the yarn. It’s so interesting to see how different people do it. There’s no correct way. Laura has a really cool method that I’ve never seen anyone else do before! It’s magic! We’ll share a video tomorrow. How do you knit stranded colourwork? А именно, вывязывать из одной петли три. Есть нюансы для вязания по кругу : ▶️ Прибавку нужно делать в тот момент, когда следующая петля - лицевая с накидом (первая фотография). ▶️ Из этой петли нужно вывязать: лицевую, накид, еще одну лицевую (вторая фотография). ▶️Следующий ряд вязать по рисунку. ▶️ Если прибавки выполняются для реглана сверху, то получается, что слева и справа от регланной линии прибавляем по 2 петли, а не традиционно по одной. Таким образом, прибавления нужно делать не в каждом втором круге, а в каждом четвертом. ▶️ В качестве регланной линии я нахожу целесообразным взять хотя бы один 'столбик' лицевых между 'столбиками', из которых вывязываются прибавки (как на фото). 3YOK - LOSANGA SPECIAL STITCH this technique creates a really interesting cluster with yarnovers. The manoeuvre is worked over 5sts. To start, you'll want to pass the 3rd, 4th & 5th stitches over the 1st & 2nd stitches as shown. Pass them over the first 2sts & let them drop. Next you'll want to yo, K1, yo, K1, yo where the first knit stitch is worked into what was the 1st stitch and the 2nd K1 is worked into what was the 2nd stitch. In this example the final yarnover is wrapped the other way 'cos the stitch following the 3YOK in the Losanga pattern is a P1 (which is shown); if you're working this stitch cluster and its followed by a K1 then wrap the yarnover the same as the first two, to ensure the yarn is in the correct place for the next pattern of the pattern. Its actually a lot easier to knit than it may read!
