[RECENZJA "WIĘCEJ NIŻ POCAŁUNEK"] . Jestem pod wrażeniem, że jest to debiut autorki, ponieważ dostaliśmy dobrze napisaną, niezwykle wzruszającą, pełną humoru powieść. Dialogi są zabawne, fabuła płynnie spokojnie ale wciąga, a bohaterowie są dobrze wykreowani. . Stelle polubiłam od pierwszego rozdziału. Widać, że kobieta wie czego chce, nie boi się wyrażać swoich myśli i nie owija w bawełnę. Mimo jej choroby i wycofania społecznego była postacią pełną życia, zaskakiwała na każdym kroku i potrafiła sprawić, że czytając jej rozmyślenia śmiałam się do łez. W szczególności rozbawiło mnie jej porównanie całowania się do uczucia, jakby małe rybki czyściły jej zęby. . Na początku bardzo intrygowała mnie postać Michaela. Ciekawiło mnie, dlaczego zajmuje się w życiu czymś takim jak seks za pieniądze? Jaka jest jego historia? Im głębiej go jednak poznawałam tym bardziej zaczynał mnie on irytować. Okazał się bardzo zapatrzoną w swoje problemy i dumną postacią. Nie widział tego co miał pod nosem i ciągle tak naprawdę odpychał od siebie Stelle. Jego nieustanne porównywanie się od ojca działało mi na nerwy. Jego rodzina była za to cudowna. Uwielbiałam momenty, gdy Michael i Stella przyjeżdżali do rodzinnego domu mężczyzny. . Cieszę się, ze nie był to zwykły, banalny romans przeplatany scenami seksu. Autorka bowiem chce nam ukazać „kulisy” choroby Aspergera i funkcjonowania osoby chorej w społeczeństwie. Stella ma dość specyficzne zachowania, często mówi coś, co nie do końca pomaga jej nawiązywać kontakty, ale jest normalną osobą. Czuję to samo co każdy inny człowiek, choć potrzebuje czasami więcej czasu by oswoić się ze swoimi uczuciami. . Na pewno dzięki niezwykłej bohaterce, jaką jest Stella powieść wyróżnia się na tle innych i warto po nią sięgnąć. Nie dziwi mnie, że lektura została okrzyknięta debiutem roku. To historia o budowaniu miłości i zaufania, a takie lubię najbardziej.

I am hooked because Bast is a pretty important character early on and I love her. (Crazy cat enthusiast here.) It reads more YA than mid grade, and the banter is A + quality! I really connected to Magnus, and as I don't wish to spoil anything, I won't reveal why but will just say there are two big themes in his life that resonated with me. As a huge fan of Norse mythology, it was fantastic having these fresh, modern takes on the characters from the familiar traditional stories. Meeting these versions of Loki, Odin, Freya, Fenris, Thor and Hel was a "hella" good time. ‍♀️ Our hero and his motley crew of misfits encounter frost giants and giantesses, shapeshifting gods, evil dwarves, attack squirrels, Valkyries, psychotic goats, and even talking famous weapons. I was extra amused by Thor, as he was eerily similar to Endgame Thor. Again, no spoilers if you haven't seen Endgame, but.. yeah. Definitely planning on going to the library tomorrow for the sequel!!
