Hello from us to you.... how has it nearly been a month since I last posted. I am finding writing and taking the photos for the book pretty all-consuming. It’s not leaving me with much creative energy for anything else. Come the evening, once this one is in bed, I am so tired that I am just trying to give myself space and permission to do nothing but read, or watch TV. A few years ago I would have been putting more pressure on myself to post and blog regularly, and generally show up more, but right now I am taking comfort in the fact I am doing the best I can and that I need these slow evenings of rest for my mental well-being. Do you have a favourite season for our indoor tree ☀️ ❄️? . I think number two, which was actually the first I ever took, is mine! . On another note, I hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter ! . Ours has been bloody lovely, but I’ve definitely over indulged, because the summer dresses I pulled out from the back of the cupboard are feeling pretty snug right now . . Currently wondering just how many more days I can get away with telling myself that the diet starts tomorrow .

Pregnancy after a loss is hard. The constant what ifs replay in your mind over and over again. What if I never get pregnant again. What if I lose this baby like I did my last. What if what if what if. Our miscarriage last year' changed me. It opened my eyes bigger than they've ever opened. A few weeks after finding out I was pregnant with Ayla I started bleeding and immediately thought worse case scenario. I'll never forget that day, it was the morning of July 15th 2018, the first time Kyle and I took Lincoln to the beach and instead of enjoying the time with my little family all I could think about was that I was losing this baby. That I'd be going through yet another miscarriage. That I'd lose another baby without getting a chance to know their gender. A rhogam shot and 8 days later we had our first ultrasound & there was HEARTBEAT. Our little angel, our miracle baby who turns 6 weeks old tomorrow. I'm so grateful for you Ayla and so thankful to be your momma.

What a joy it was to come across this flowering tree the other day on our walk. It’s been a stressful few weeks here. I’ve had loads of technical problems with my site (won’t bore you with the details) but basically I have had to completely redo it Not something that was on my list to do now, especially with book stuff. Anyway, would love to know what you folks think. There might be a few tweaks here and there as I gradually move more content across but it feels so good to finally have a site that will support me through this next season of work.
