These few months I have been struggling to find my voice on Instagram. I started this exact page just posting the photography I did. I was shooting so many agency models- there wasn’t much thought involved. Whatever I liked from my shoot that day I would just post. Oh also this was 6 years ago but I wanted to photograph an agency model and her agent said I didn’t have enough followers for that. I was so shocked and taken back this was pretty much the early days of social media- influencers were pretty new AND I was just a photographer behind the camera... Anyway overtime photos of me did well so I thought hey I’ll just post more pictures of me haha. As time went on my profile was just pictures of me and I guess that’s when I started being more conscious of how posts did. As time went I went through so many phases of ‘themes’ however you would call it. When I was living in Hong Kong I would post every single event I went to, as I moved to LA my whole feed was food. Now all my energy is towards fitness. I feel so stuck doing social- were told so many things- you need to engage with the community (I’m already trying to spend less time on my phone and there’s something unnatural to me), you need to talk on your stories more (I work from home so I’m kinda in my pjs often and I don’t have much to say?), you need to show your life more (pretty much all I do is work out at the YMCA and work from home doing data analytics). Just rambling my thoughts but that’s where I’m at now
