Quick post describing my first impressions of Plum Japonais and comparing it to Lost Cherry. Full review of Plum Japonais coming soon. ------- Plum Japonais gives a fruity plummy vibe, with some depth which comes from the oud in it. The plum scent is pretty strong and stays throughout the lifetime of this scent. Vanilla is also very present. From my first impressions I would say it's a perfect scent for fall and also winter, the plum also has some cinnamon attached to it. Smells like vanilla ice cream with a lot of plum on top. Lost Cherry on the other hand shares a very similar vibe (cherries and plums smell pretty similar, at least to my nose ), but vanilla and additionally tonka (which isn't in Plum Japonais, at least could not smell it) make this scent way sweeter. In basic terms it's a sweet version of Plum Japonais, without the oud. I think that the oud in Plum Japonais is really important in order to balance the sweetness, it makes it a more versatile fragrance imo. Those were my first impressions... gonna wear this one the whole weekend for the review.
