My “perfectionist” tendencies used to be out of control - aka I had a fear of failing - on a task or with a person or probably anything else. If someone criticized me, I had an argument. I would deflect it as if they didn’t already see what they saw ♀️ ⬇️This shifted my energy and allowed me to have better relationships; first with me, then with everybody else ↩️

When criticized, called out, or corrected take just 30 seconds and wonder ‘is it possible?’ That’s it. Just wonder about it for 30 seconds and it will completely change your energy and the interaction.

Especially consider if the person is someone who has proven to have your best interest in mind. Just because they say something that hurts your feelings, doesn’t mean that’s what they’re out to do.
If you can come to a place where you’re curious about feedback, you’re well on the way to overcoming insecurity... that you may not have known you had. You’ll be able to give others grace and patience because you first gave it to yourself.
