When I was student teaching two years ago, my mentor teacher told me this period from Labor Day weekend through Thanksgiving is always the hardest time of year as a teacher. The routine of school becomes regular, zero days off, and countless meetings come at us. I always remind myself once we hit Thanksgiving break, there are a lot more breaks throughout the rest of the year so if I can make it through this patch, I’ve got this And I’m also choosing to look at the positive side to things — it’s going to be tough teaching the day after Halloween, BUT my admin canceled our after school staff meeting today

I’m hoping this change will give me a different perspective, help me gain back my mental and emotional strength, and provide me with new experiences for growth. . The memories I made as an Autism teacher these past two years won’t ever be forgotten, but I needed to make this switch for my health and happiness. Always do what’s best for you . Same district, different building. I’ll be teaching at my old high school, so that’ll be interesting I’m happy, I’m excited, and I’m content...for the first time in almost a year. I think it says #mathisnotaworksheet • I took this idea that’s been shared by other #instateachers and used it to review about time! • We stared by writing the minutes inside the clock and then practiced moving the hour and minute hand by a specific amount (such as 1 hour or 5 minutes). IT’S FRIDAY! I haven’t been super active on here for the past week because I’m running a marathon tomorrow (still can’t believe it’s tomorrow...) and I’ve been spending any time outside of school focused on preparing and resting for the big day tomorrow. Today I’m feeling excited and I busted out one of my new Hamilton shirts to get in the Friday/ pre- race day spirit. Nothing like a little Hamilton motivation to get us through Friday!
