Not the prettiest beach around Koh Lanta, but definitely the most special... It's enclosed on all sides and you need to swim 80 metres through a dark cave called the Emerald Cave to reach it. The opening is too small to let any kind of embarkation through, so this is really the only way to access it - a proper secret beach, and (I kid you not!) In the past it was actually used by pirates to hide the treasures they stole. If you want to feel like you're in Pirates of The Caribbean and The Beach all at once, this is an experience not to miss! (P.S.: this place is incredibly hard to capture, not least because you need to bring waterproof gear. But I wanted to give an impression of that unforgettable moment when you emerge from the pitch-black cave to discover the hidden beach...). . Day 18 Day 18 was such a great day!! At the bus in Koh Lanta we met a Canadian family travelling for 10 months with two kids at the same age as Kasper and Elias. Today we visited them at Koh Mook We went (swam!) into the Morakot Cave (or Emerald Cave), wich actually is an old sinkhole, but to get there you will have to swim through a tunnel for about 80 meters. IN THE DARK! Thankfully there were someone else there with a torch No wonder it was a good place for pirates to hide treasures in the past! We wanted to avoid the crowds, but due to the tide (it’s impossible to enter at high tide) we ended up going in with around 300 loud and happy students from a school at Koh Lanta. It was quite an experience The rest of the day was spent snorkelling (finding Nemo and his cousins ) and having a good time at Charlie Beach. Cały dzień spędziłam w przyrodzie Woda, ryby, rafa, jaskinia, ukryta magiczna kraina #morakotcave oraz rajska plaża. Niedziela może nie na żaglowce, ale taka łódź jest pięknym zastępstwem ❤️ Dziób i rufa są, zatem wszystko się zgadza Ten pięknie ozdobiony dziób przypomniał mi mojego instruktora żeglarstwa. Powtarzał on mojej szkolącej się załodze „pogadaliśmy, a teraz dziób na wodę”. Co oznaczało, że wszyscy załoganci mieli być w pełnej gotowości do działania. W skrócie - ustawić dziób żaglówki do wiatru i płynąć bez zbędnych dywagacji.. Teraz - działamy!
