We’ve just had what I thought was going to be a lovely, warm, sunny walk to Sainsbury’s, but was in fact a very windy, freezing cold walk to Sainsbury’s, to get some things for lunch, and some snacks for later. I’ve already eaten half of my Galaxy salted caramel snack though, as a dessert from lunch, had to restrain myself from eating the whole thing Just having a cuppa tea now before I crack on with abit of tidying! The previously didn’t exist side of the living room... this space used to be our spare room (if you look closely you can still see a darker line on the floor where the wall was). Don’t feel like we have this space quite ‘right’ yet but compared to what we had before (basically a ‘dumping’ room where we just stored stuff) it’s such a huge improvement that it makes me very happy.

Good morning lovelies school mornings are always such a mad rush for me. One of my favourite times of day is getting back here at around 9am, and having a quiet coffee whilst Bertie is asleep in the sling. Hace unos días me invitaron a tomar un desayuno en casa de alguien que yo no conocía salvo de cruzarme en la calle o más bien en la montaña y fue tan grato el momento que compartimos. Té de por medio, ganas de charlar y saber cuáles eran nuestras vidas de hoy en día. Una cosa llevo a la otra y así como somos las mujeres la conversación saltaba de relato en relato pero siempre con un mismo hilo conductor. Cuál era? El esfuerzo, la perseverancia, el no decaer, el no desilusionarse, el seguir intentando a pesar de la situación difícil, el decirse a una misma se puede. Que a pesar de lo incierto y la incertidumbre que podamos tener por distintos motivos, si tomamos buenas desiciones, a la larga tendremos una satisfacción única de logro, con valores que aprendimos a forjar a lo largo de ese camino. Se puede, me preguntó? Si, se puede y se logra. Pero sólo depende de una misma. Es difícil? Puede ser! Aprender a confiar y aprender a soltar. Confiar en vos misma y saber que tus habilidades te llevarán por ese camino que aún no te decidiste a tomar. Aprender a soltar lo que te carga, lo que te intoxica, lo que paraliza. Que importante es saber escuchar al otro, no? Ayer fue el día del trabajo y el mío son tantas cosas, cocinera, ama de casa, mamá, administradora, emprendedora, recicladora, creadora de buenos momentos me gusta más! The girls have spent their first night in their new bedroom I had hoped to buy them new beds to go up here, and new fluffy quilts and pillows, but I can’t afford it all right now, so it will have to wait! I moved some of their toys up here yesterday, and am spending this morning getting everything else up. There’s just an issue of fitting a nice wardrobe up here, because the old stairs are so thin, I think only a flat pack will do! Which makes me a little bit sad because I haven’t seen any flat packs that I like, and I love their little old vintage wardrobe! .. I’ll keep looking! Happy Friday anyway, lovelies

So if you didn’t see it on my stories, I went for three different papers in here, and I love it so much I’m adding a fourth onto the back wall My dad is an absolute hero, and honestly none of this would have been done without him. He’s worked his butt over the last few weeks to get it all finished for us. He’s just so bloody good and so bloody clever, and such a bloody good dad to have
